HOME REPORT STATES DAMP ISSUES???

If you are buying or selling a property with damp issues then you will need a timber and damp survey and report carried out for your own peace of mind and if your the buyer and need to mortgage the property the lender will ask for a timber and damp report as they will see this as a risk factor (it is btw!)

There can be hidden issues such as rotten sub floor/loft timbers, rising damp, potential external defects that will cause issues in the near future. The last thing you want is to get the keys, renovate and decorate to suit your own style and then find out there are damp problems that WILL ruin your lovely new home.

Having a report gives you information on issues at the present time and defects that could cost you in the future. The report will give remedial actions that can be taken and if need be a cost associated with each issue. Damp is a specialist issue and should be dealt with by a specialist, having your mate who is a builder assess and rectify any type of damp issues is kicking the can down the road.. in other words the problem will come back to you if not dealt with in the right manner. Our report details the cause and proper remedy using our years of experience and expert knowledge. We can also set out a remedial plan for your builder to follow and we can oversee the work to make sure its done correctly. We are always happy to help whatever way we can.

So.. If you are buying or selling a property that states damp on the home report, get in touch.
