RISING DAMP

This is where ground water is pulled up through capillary action and spread through the fabric of your property. It is usually found above skirting boards of the ground floor or your property and can rise to approximately 600mm above outer ground level although its not uncommon to rise higher. This happens when the damp proof course has either failed or is bridged. DRY/WET ROT
