Will my wall dry out with this good weather??

We often come across people with the assumption that if it’s warm weather there damp walls will dry out.. that’s not the case as with rising damp it’s moisture from the ground being drawn up through capillary actions and once it’s there it’s there to stay regardless of the weather! With penetrating damp it will dry out to a degree but once the wall is contaminated with building salts which are drawn to the surface with heat in the room even if it drys out the salts are still there which is what ruins decoration and leaves unsightly water marks on the walls/ceiling. If your unsure how to go about getting your home back looking it best please get in touch, ignoring the issue won’t make it go away.
